Loyal jumps out to big lead, beats Spencer girls basketball

SPENCER – Loyal held Spencer to 15 points in the first half and cruised to an 81-30 victory in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday at Spencer High School.

Loyal (6-11, 6-7 Cloverbelt East) took a comfortable 44-15 lead by halftime and held the Rockets to only 15 points in the second half as well on the way to the victory.

Lexi Baehr scored 20 of Spencer’s 30 points in the loss.

The Rockets (2-16, 1-13 Cloverbelt East) play a nonconference game at Edgar on Friday.
