Auburndale girls basketball rips Chequamegon in WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal

AUBURNDALE – Isabelle Hilber scored 12 points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Auburndale girls basketball team as the Apaches defeated Chequamegon 58-21 in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Seven different Apaches scored at least five points in the victory as Auburndale improves to 14-9 this season and moves into a regional semifinal Friday night at Stevens Point Pacelli (16-6).

Auburndale held the Screaming Eagles (1-22) to just six made baskets in the game.

Hannah Bolder chipped in eight points, Taylor Stanton had seven points, and Natalie Aue had seven points and 10 rebounds for the Apaches.
