EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys hockey team’s run in the WIAA playoffs came to an end Wednesday night with a 12-0 loss to No. 1 seed Eau Claire Memorial in a sectional semifinal at Hobbs Ice Arena.
Eau Claire Memorial (20-2-2) moves into a sectional final against crosstown rival Eau Claire North (17-6-1) on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hobbs Ice Arena. The winner advances to the 2018 WIAA State Boys Hockey Tournament at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on March 1-3.
Marshfield ends its season with an 11-13 record.
