Columbus Catholic boys basketball tops Pittsville in WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal

MARSHFIELD – Senior guard Nick Malovrh scored 24 points to help lift the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team to a 62-44 win over Pittsville in a WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons improve to 22-2 this season after winning their 13th game in a row and will host Wild Rose (17-7) in a D-5 regional final at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Jarred Mandel added 14 points for Columbus.
