Marauders volleyball drops opener at Marathon County

WAUSAU – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point-Marshfield/Wood County women’s volleyball team opened play on Monday night, dropping a road contest to UW-Stevens Point-Marathon County 3-2 in nonconference action.

Marathon County won 25-23, 20-25, 24-26, 25-10, 15-4.

Emily Cook had 30 assists, Sierra Litwatis had 15 digs, and Emily Shipman had five kills to lead the Marauders.

Marshfield returns to action Monday, Sept. 17, at UW-Baraboo.
