Neillsville/Granton rallies to beat Spencer volleyball in five sets

SPENCER – Neillsville/Granton came back from a 2-1 deficit to win the final two sets and knock off Spencer 3-2 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division volleyball match Thursday night at Spencer High School.

The Warriors won 25-27, 25-9, 19-25, 25-10, 15-13, to improve to 2-3 in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer is now 1-4.

Taylor Hall had 16 digs, Carsee Neitzel added 15 digs, and Shelbi Hoffs had seven kills and 14 digs for the Rockets.

Zalexis Mannigel had 25 assists and Shaelee Neitzel led Spencer with 11 kills.

Spencer plays at first-place Marshfield Columbus Catholic in another conference match on Tuesday.
