Spencer boys basketball falls to Edgar

SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team was held to 35 percent shooting and dropped a 70-39 decision to Edgar in a nonconference game Monday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets made just 12 of 34 shots from the field in the loss.

Austin Bacon had 15 points and Nate Karau scored nine for the Rockets, who fall to 1-2.

Kyle Brewster topped Edgar (1-1) with 17 points.

Spencer plays at Owen-Withee on Thursday, while Edgar returns to action Friday at home against Stratford.
