Stratford volleyball loses on the road at Marathon

MARATHON – Hilary Belter had nine kills and Amber Schneider had 16 assists and six kills for Stratford in a 3-1 loss to Marathon on Tuesday in a Marawood Conference South Division volleyball match at Marathon High School.

The Tigers lost the match 25-12, 13-25, 25-22, 25-13 to drop to 1-2 in the Marawood South. Marathon improves to 3-0 and stays in a first-place tie with Auburndale and Wausau Newman Catholic.

Sam Frombach led Stratford with eight digs.

The Tigers are back in action Sept. 21 at home against Edgar.
