Marshfield girls golf fourth at Clover Valley meet

MARATHON – The Marshfield girls golf team wrapped up fourth place in the Clover Valley Golf League by tying for fourth Monday at the CVGL Tournament at Pine Valley Golf Course.

Maggie Field finished eighth with a 48 to lead the Tigers to a team score of 213, which tied them with Wisconsin Rapids for fourth. Osseo-Fairchild won the tournament with a score of 186, two shots ahead of Eau Claire Regis. Stevens Point was third with a 199.

Sara Sturomski had a 53, Kayla Mayer and Macy Fitzgerald each shot a 56 and Savannah Shortess had a 58 for Marshfield.

Addie Vold of Osseo-Fairchild and Lindsey Eisenhuth of Eau Claire Regis had 41s to tie for medalist honors.

Marshfield will compete at the WIAA regional on Wednesday at SentryWorld in Stevens Point. The top four teams and top four individuals not on those four teams qualify for sectionals on Oct. 5 at Holmen.
