Neillsville wins first-place game, Spencer falls to Thorp in second-place game at Cloverbelt boys basketball crossovers

ALTOONA – Alex King scored 29 points to lead Neillsville to an 85-80 win over Altoona in a wild first-place game at the Cloverbelt Conference Boys Basketball Crossovers on Saturday afternoon at Altoona High School.

Braden Trunkel made four 3-pointers and added 18 points for the Warriors, who improve to 19-3 with the win.

In the second-place game, Thorp downed Spencer 64-51.

Austin Bacon scored 25 points for the Rockets and Eric Ehlert added 10 as Spencer finishes its regular-season schedule with a 16-6 record.

Ethan Reis and Isaac Soumis both scored 18 points for Thorp.
