Senior Salute: Stratford High School Track & Field

During the past two months, MarshfieldAreaSports.com highlighted area high school senior student-athletes with our Senior Salute series.

The final part of the series takes a look at the Stratford High School track and field team.

Stratford has 13 seniors on the 2020 squad.

*Karson Balz was a four-year participant in the Stratford High School track and field program. He threw shot put and discus, and ran in the 1,600 meters for the Tigers. Balz will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the fall.

*Andrew Chapel was a four-year distance runner for Stratford, running in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters, as well as the 3,200-meter relay. Chapel will be moving on to school at the UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield in the fall.

*Chase Flink was a two-year member of the Stratford track program, running in the 300-meter hurdles, the 100 meters, and the 1,600-meter relay team which set a new school record and advanced to the WIAA state meet in 2019. Flink will be attending Ripon College in the fall and will play football for the Redhawks.

*Kaden Haupt was a four-year member of the Tigers track program, running in the 800 and 1,600 meters, and the 3,200-meter relay. Haupt will be attending UW-Stevens Point next year.

*James Heeg was a four-year participant in track for the Tigers, competing in the 200 and 400 meters, the 1,600 relay, and the high jump. Heeg was a member of the 1,600 relay team that set a new school record and qualified for the WIAA state meet in 2019. He will be attending the UW-River Falls in the fall.

*Tyler Lappe was a two-year member of the Stratford track program, participating in the high jump, triple jump and 800 meters. Lappe will be continuing his education at UW-La Crosse in the fall.

*Brenna Manecke was a four-year member of the Tigers track team. She ran in the 200 and 1,600 meters, and on the 800-meter relay team. Manecke will be moving on to UW-Stout in the fall.

*Justin Radke was a new member to the Stratford track program this year. He was to participate in the 100 and 400 meters, discus and shot put. Radke will be going to UW-Oshkosh in the fall.

*Teddy Redman was a two-year member of the Stratford track program. He ran in the 200 and 400 meters, was part of the 1,600-meter relay team that set a school record and advanced to the WIAA state meet in 2019, and also participated in the long jump. He qualified for the state meet in the 400 individual as well last season. Redman will be attending Winona (Minn.) State University in the fall.

*Logan Stueber was a four-year member of the Stratford track program, running the 200 meters and participating in the pole vault. Stueber will be continuing his education at UW-Stout in the fall.

*Oscar Telschow participated in track all four years of his Stratford High School career. He ran in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and the 400 relay, and also was a triple jumper for the Tigers. Telschow will be attending Ripon College next fall.

*Isaac Thompson was a four-year member of the Stratford track team. He ran in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters, as well as the 3,200-meter relay. Thompson will be attending UW-Milwaukee in the fall.

*Saige Tichy was a four-year member of the Stratford track program, running the 200 meters, the 800 relay, and also participating in the pole vault. Tichy will be attending UW-Eau Claire in the fall.
