Stratford boys basketball outlasts Wausau Newman Catholic

WAUSAU – Stratford had four players score in double figures and went on to defeat Wausau Newman Catholic 56-49 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday night at Newman Catholic High School.

Cody Miller scored 14 points, Caden Bruesiwitz had four 3-pointers for 12 points, Camden Daul also had 12 points and six rebounds, and Jake Skroch added 11 points for the Tigers.

Stratford improves to 8-6 overall and 4-5 in the Marawood Conference South. Newman falls to 8-5 and 6-4 in conference play.

Both teams return to action Friday. Stratford will host Auburndale and Newman Catholic will travel to first-place Edgar. Both games start at 7:15 p.m. The Stratford game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
