Columbus Catholic boys basketball wins at Colby to pull into first-place tie in Cloverbelt East

COLBY – Jadon Nienast scored 30 points for the second-straight game as the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team defeated Colby 72-65 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Colby High School.

Columbus Catholic pulls into a tie for first place in the conference standings with idle Greenwood at 8-1 and improves to 12-5 overall with the victory. Colby is now 8-8 and 4-4 in conference play.

Eden Jacobson added 16 points for the Dons.

Tucker Meyer had 15 points and Brandon Voelker 14 for Colby.

Columbus Catholic hosts Owen-Withee on Friday.
