Columbus Catholic/Spencer’s Noreen finishes 41st at WIAA Division 2 boys golf sectional

BLACK RIVER FALLS – Columbus Catholic/Spencer junior Cole Noreen shot a 93 to finish in a tie for 41st place at the WIAA Division 2 boys golf sectional on Tuesday at Skyline Golf Course.

Lakeland won the team title with a 323, five shots ahead of host Black River Falls. With top-two finishes, both teams move on to the 2021 WIAA Division 2 State Boys Golf Tournament on June 14-15 at Trappers Turn Golf Club in Wisconsin Dells.

The top three individuals not on the two qualifying teams also move on to state. Northwestern’s Trent Meyer shot an even par 72 to earn one spot, with Jacob Hall of Osceola finishing third with a 75 and Chippewa Falls McDonell/Eau Claire Regis’ Ben Biskupski tying for fourth with a 76 to grab the other two.
