MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Post 54 American Legion baseball team won its fourth game in a row, defeating Eau Claire 14-4 on Monday at Jack Hackman Field.
The Blue Devils scored in all five innings to win the game via the 10-run rule.
Cam Daul went the distance for Marshfield, allowing four hits and four runs in five innings with one strikeout.
All nine players in the Marshfield lineup contributed with multiple hits and/or RBIs.
Riley Bauman and Kale Weisenberger each had two hits and three RBIs, Logan Homolka had a double and a triple and drove in two, and Colten Schillinger added two hits and two RBIs for Marshfield (4-3).
Marshfield swept a doubleheader at Fond du Lac on Saturday, winning 8-0 and 14-2.
Daul had three hits and an RBI, Homolka drove in three with a pair of hits, and Bauman and Chandler Schmidt each had two hits as well in the Game 1 win.
Nick Urban threw five innings and Noah Grimm two, combining for the shutout. Urban struck out eight.
In Game 2, Urban went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, Carsten Jirschele had three hits and scored three times, and Cody Donahue had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs to pace the Marshfield offense that smashed 15 hits, four for extra bases.
Marshfield plays a nonleague game at Hudson on Tuesday.
