CHIPPEWA FALLS – Marshfield won three events and finished second by just 5½ points at the Chippewa Falls Cardinal Boys Swimming Invitational on Saturday at Chippewa Falls Middle School.
Onalaska/Holmen/Aquinas won the team title with 401 points, with the Tigers taking second with 395.5.
Kyle Berres tied for the win in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.68 seconds and Simon Dagit won the 100 butterfly in 59.60 seconds for Marshfield. The two also teamed with Graham Lonsdale and Henry Hilbelink to win the 400 freestyle relay in 3:41.11 for the Tigers.
Marshfield will compete in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet at Stevens Point on Thursday.
