Spencer boys basketball drops road game at Neillsville

NEILLSVILLE – The Neillsville boys basketball team jumped out to a big lead in the first half and went on to defeat Spencer 73-55 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at Neillsville High School.

Neillsville dominated the first half, pulling out to a 44-26 lead by halftime and cruised to the win.

Andrew Brown had 16 points and Mason Roenz added 15 for Neillsville, which remains unbeaten in the Cloverbelt East at 6-0 and improves to 8-2 overall.

Kaleb Brandt had three 3-pointers and 21 points, and Connor Bacon added 12 for Spencer (3-9, 2-4 Cloverbelt East).

Spencer hosts Colby on Friday for a Cloverbelt East game. Neillsville is off until Monday when it travels to Independence for a nonconference game.
