MARSHFIELD – Marshfield started quick, scoring twice in the first two minutes and five times in the opening period on its way to a 12-3 rout of Tomahawk in a nonconference boys hockey game Saturday at the Marshfield Ice Arena.

Sawyer Schindler and Payton Smith each had a hat trick and an assist for the Tigers, who improve to 11-9-1 this season.

Henry Hoerneman, Tyler Reissmann, Charlie Kenney, Graydon Anderson, Tristan Reissmann and Noah Peterson all scored as well for Marshfield.

Marshfield hosts Wausau West in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
