Auburndale girls basketball earns home win over Pittsville

AUBURNDALE – Josie Ertl scored 20 points to lead the Auburndale girls basketball team to a 57-39 win over Pittsville in a nonconference game Monday night at Auburndale High School.

Ashlyn Grimm added 12 points and seven rebounds in the win for the Eagles, who improve to 14-7.

Reece Grimm scored 11 points and Haylee Zawislan added nine points for Pittsville (10-7).

Both teams return to their respective conference schedules on Thursday. Pittsville hosts Almond-Bancroft for a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division and Auburndale will be at home for Marawood Conference crossover game against Prentice. Both games start at 7:15 p.m.
