Spencer boys basketball pulls past Greenwood

GREENWOOD – The Spencer boys basketball team used a big second-half advantage to pull past Greenwood 58-40 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup on Tuesday night at Greenwood High School.

The Rockets led 27-23 at halftime before outscoring Greenwood 31-17 in the second half to earn the double-digit victory.

Caleb Rucker scored 14 points and Noah Schultz added 10 for Spencer, which improves to 5-13 overall and 3-7 in the Cloverbelt East.

Ryver Glynn scored 11 points for Greenwood (4-12, 1-9 Cloverbelt East).

Both teams return to action Friday for Cloverbelt East games. Spencer will be at Gilman and Greenwood will host Colby.
