Auburndale girls basketball earns tight win over Abbotsford in Division 4 regional semifinal

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball team held off Abbotsford to win 63-61 in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal Friday night at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale (18-7) moves on to a regional final at home against Iola-Scandinavia (15-9) on Saturday. The game will start at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.

Annamarie Aue made 15 of 22 free throws and scored a team-high 28 points for Auburndale.

The Eagles were 27-for-40 overall at the free throw line in the win.

Abbotsford finishes its season with a 13-12 record.
