Marshfield boys tennis sweeps Wausau West

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys tennis team won six of the seven matches in straight sets and rolled to a 7-0 sweep of Wausau West on Thursday at the Boson Tennis Complex at Marshfield High School.

Ryan Paulman (No. 1), Kai Rens (No. 3) and Chase Hinson (No. 4) each won in straight sets, and Dillon Scheuer need three sets at No. 2 to win for the Tigers.

Justin Rachu and Josh Grissman at No. 1 doubles, Kennan Chojnacki and Payton Smith at No. 2, and Corbin Krueger and Ian Sennholz at No. 3, all won in straight sets for Marshfield, losing just a total of four games.

Marshfield is now 2-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. The Tigers will compete at the Wausau West Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
