MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic pitcher Hailey Zimmermann tossed a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Dons downed Gilman 7-2 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Zimmermann allowed two runs, one earned, with four walks in the complete-game victory.

Cierra Dieringer had an RBI triple in the third inning to tie the game for the Dons, before they pulled ahead for good with three runs in the fifth inning.

Brianna Duda went 3-for-3 and scored twice, and Mattea Schalfke added a pair of hits and an RBI for Columbus Catholic (3-5, 2-1 Cloverbelt East).

Columbus Catholic will host Rib Lake in a nonconference game Monday at 5 p.m. at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
