Stratford baseball shuts out Phillips for eighth-straight win

PHILLIPS – Brady Schmidt knocked in four runs and Dillon Kirsch added three RBI as the Stratford baseball team won its eighth-straight game with a 14-0 shutout of Phillips in a nonconference game Friday at Phillips High School.

Braeden Schueller, Jackson Ormond and Henry Zaleski combined on the one-hit, five-inning shutout for the Tigers (8-1).

Jack Tubbs added two RBI in the win for Stratford.

Stratford plays a nonconference game at Athens on Monday.
