Columbus Catholic lands two on first team of 2022 All-Cloverbelt Conference East Division Softball Team

Marshfield Columbus Catholic juniors Hailey Zimmermann and Cierra Dieringer were among the 10 players selected to the first team of the 2022 All-Cloverbelt Conference East Division Softball Team.

Zimmermann batted .395 with 16 RBI and 12 runs scored, and went 5-1 with a 1.90 earned run average and 69 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched for Columbus Catholic.

Dieringer hit .632 (24-for-38) with seven doubles, two home runs, 19 RBI and 22 runs scored – all team-highs for the Dons, who finished 8-4 and in third place in the Cloverbelt East this season.

Neillsville’s Emma Moseley was chosen as the conference Player of the Year after hitting .526 with two home runs, 25 RBI and 21 runs scored as the Warriors tied Loyal/Greenwood for the Cloverbelt East championship.

Rounding out the first-team selections were Colby/Abbotsford’s Tatum Bargender, Gilman’s Tatum Weir, Loyal/Greenwood’s Zaida Brock, Emma Schlough and Mesa Rasmussen, and Neillsville’s Delaney Rochester and Ava Mortenson.

Spencer senior Madison Knecht, and Columbus Catholic’s Sam Casperson and Akosua Yeboah were among the second-team selections.
