Marshfield girls swimming wins six events in loss to Wausau East

MARSHFIELD – Faith Risa and Skylar Onsager won two individual races and was part of a winning relay for the Marshfield girls swim team, which lost a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual to Wausau East 97-69 on Thursday at Marshfield High School.

Faith Risa and Onsager teamed with Hannah LaPointe and Terra Risa to win the opening 200-yard medley relay in 2:01.15, and also won the 200 individual medley (2:20.50) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.67) for the Tigers.

Onsager was first in the 50 freestyle (25.75 seconds) and the 500 freestyle (5:51.62) as well for Marshfield.

Marshfield’s other event victory came from Terra Risa in the 100 backstroke (1:05.24).

Marshfield will take two weeks off from competition before hosting Stevens Point in its final home meet of the season Oct. 6.
