WAUSAU – All three Marshfield doubles teams finished third as the Tigers took fifth at the 2022 Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Tennis Tournament on Thursday at Wausau East High School.
The No. 1 team of Sam Ridgway and Danielle Minsaas, the No. 2 team of Sophia Morrell and Ava Paape, and the No. 3 team of Ruhi Shah and Ashley Grancorvitz all lost semifinal matches before winning third-place matches for the Tigers.
Isabella Krueger (No. 1) and Payton Koran (No. 4) both finished fourth in singles play for Marshfield.
Marshfield will compete at the WIAA Division 1 Rhinelander Subsectional on Monday.
