MARSHFIELD – Marshfield swept all 11 events as rolled to a 133-34 victory over Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Kyle Berres, Carson Klumb and Simon Dagit each won a pair of individual events and were part of two relay victories as well for Marshfield, which is now 2-1 in WVC duals.
Berres was first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.3) and the 500 freestyle (5:34.23), Klumb won the 100 butterfly (1:13.93) and 100 backstroke (1:07.78), and Dagit won the 50 freestyle (24.43) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.47) for the Tigers.
Berres, Michael Dick, Dagit and Henry Hilbelink were first in the 200 medley relay in 1:55.99; Klumb, Zander Edmundson, Dagit and Berres won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:43.41; and Edmundson, Carlos Koehn, Klumb and Hilbelink won the 400 freestyle in 4:17.09 as well for Marshfield.
Marshfield’s other wins came from Hilbelink in the 100 freestyle (55.07) and Hayden Nelson in the 200 individual medley (2:29.62).
Marshfield will compete at the Rhinelander Invitational on Saturday before hosting another Wisconsin Valley Conference dual Tuesday against Stevens Point.
