TOMAH – The Marshfield gymnastics team had a season-high team score and Ellie Jensen set a new personal record in the all-around as the Tigers finished second Saturday at the Tomah Gymnastics Invitational.
Chippewa Falls won the team standings with a score of 136.625, with Marshfield a close second with 134.275 points.
Jensen finished third in the all-around with a score of 35.775 as she was second in the uneven bars (8.675) and balance beam (9.2), third in the floor exercise (9.15) and sixth in the vault (8.75).
Phoebe Hernandez added a third-place finish in the vault (9.1) and Solenne Lonsdale was fourth in the uneven bars (8.5) as well for the Tigers.
The Marshfield JV team won the team title with a score of 120.95. Serena Tippett won the balance beam for the Tigers with a score of 8.0.
Marshfield will have three weeks off before competing at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational on Jan. 7.
