Spencer/Columbus wrestlers edge Osseo-Fairchild in Cloverbelt dual

SPENCER – Trevor Ackman (119 pounds), Luke Mahoney (125), Brady Zais (130) and Nick Vaughan (215) had pins for Spencer/Columbus in a tight 37-35 win over Osseo-Fairchild/Altoona/Augusta in a Cloverbelt Conference wrestling dual on Friday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets were hurt by four forfeits, which made the match close, but won six of the nine matches wrestled to earn the two-point victory.

Lance Neuman at 189 and Aaron Dunbar at 152 also won matches for Spencer/Columbus.

The Rockets will take part in the Oconto Tournament on Saturday and returns to Cloverbelt action Tuesday at Neillsville.
