Dominant second half pushes Bonduel past Stratford girls basketball

BONDUEL – Bonduel broke open a tight game with a big second half and defeated Stratford 53-36 in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday night at Bonduel High School.

The Bears led 17-16 at halftime before dominating the second half, outscoring Stratford 36-20.

Lauren Kraus had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Lexie Christopherson hit three 3-pointers and finished with nine points for the Tigers (7-5).

Hailey Zernicke had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead Bonduel (9-4).

Stratford hosts first-place Wisconsin Rapids Assumption for a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
