SPENCER – Lucas Yeske scored a season-high 27 points to lead the Auburndale boys basketball team to a dominant 67-24 nonconference win over Spencer on Monday night at Spencer High School.
Alex Willfahrt added 11 points, and Caden Weinfurter had eight points and seven rebounds for the Eagles, who rebound for a loss last Friday and improve to 12-2 this season.
Auburndale raced out to a 37-15 lead by halftime and held the Rockets to just nine points in the second half and only two made baskets from the field to pull away.
Jonathan Jonas led Spencer (4-8) with seven points.
Spencer plays a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game at Neillsville on Tuesday, while Auburndale hosts Rib Lake for a Marawood Conference crossover game on Thursday.
