Kaukauna snaps Marshfield boys basketball team’s 13-game winning streak

MARSHFIELD – Kaukauna overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Marshfield 73-68 in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield led 40-31 at halftime but couldn’t slow down the Ghosts in the second half as Kaukauna outscored them 42-28 to surge ahead.

With the loss, Marshfield falls to 15-5 this season after having its 13-game winning streak snapped.

Brooks Hinson was 5-for-6 from 3-point range and scored 17 points, Luke LeMoine also scored 17, Chris Pohl added 15 points and six rebounds for the Tigers.

Finnley Doriot had 19 points, Jon O’Neill added 18 points and 14 rebounds, and Carson Van Dinter had 17 points for Kaukauna (12-8).

Marshfield plays another nonconference game at home Tuesday against Eau Claire North.
