2023 WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament scores

The 2023 WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament concluded Saturday, March 18, with five divisional championship games.

Wausau Newman Catholic, the lone Central Wisconsin team in the tournament, won the Division 5 title, the first in program history, with a 66-54 win over Chippewa Falls McDonell. Conner Krach had 21 points to lead the Cardinals, who tied a Division 5 state tournament record with 10 made 3-pointers.

In the Division 4 final, Onalaska Luther also won its first-ever state title, defeating Kenosha St. Joseph 60-46.

Brillion took the Division 3 championship with a 61-55 win over West Salem. The title is Brillion’s second, having also won one in 2012. West Salem finished as the runner-up for the second year in a row.

Pewaukee won its third-straight Division 2 title, defeating Whitnall 71-54.

De Pere completed a perfect 30-0 season by taking the Division 1 championship as it pulled past Hartland Arrowhead 69-49. The title is De Pere’s second in program history and first in nearly 90 years (1934).
