Marshfield girls grab six top-eight finishes, take sixth at UW-Stout Elite Indoor Track Invite

MENOMONIE – Dani Minsaas had three top-five finishes to help the Marshfield girls track team to a sixth-place finish at the Stout Elite Indoor Track Invitational on Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Minsaas won the girls high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 2 inches, and was fifth in the shot put (34-2.5) and the triple jump (32-10) for Marshfield.

Osceola won the girls team title with 66 points. Chippewa Falls was second with 55 and Marshfield took sixth with 29.

The Marshfield boys, with a limited number of participants, scored just one point and finished tied for 28th. Osceola tied Wausau West for the team title with 49 points.

Other top finishes from Marshfield came from the 1,600 relay team that took fourth in 4:30.42, Ashley Grancorvitz was sixth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.69) and Ayana Bousum was eighth in the triple jump (31-7.75).

The Marshfield boys lone point came from an eighth-place finish from Trevor Foemmel in the 55-meter hurdles.

The Marshfield boys will host a dual indoor meet with D.C. Everest on Tuesday, and the girls team will be at home for an indoor relay meet along with D.C. Everest, Merrill and Neillsville on Thursday.
