Spencer baseball dominates Gilman to post third-straight win

SPENCER – The Spencer baseball team scored three times in each of its four at-bats and rolled to a 12-1 win over Gilman in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Tuesday at Spencer High School.

The win is the Rockets’ third in a row as they improve to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Gilman drops to 0-2 overall and in conference play.

Carter Luepke threw three innings and Luke Roehrborn wrapped it up with two innings on the mound combining on a two-hitter for Spencer.

Reed Knecht went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBI, and Madden Prybylski had two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Rockets.

Spencer will play at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Thursday at Jack Hackman Field. Game times is 5 p.m.
