MARSHFIELD – Hailey Hargraves struck out five in three innings to earn the pitching win and also had two this and four RBI to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team to a 15-4 nonconference win over Pittsville on Tuesday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Hailey Zimmermann had three hits and four RBI, and Cierra Dieringer had three hits, two RBI and scored four times to pace the Dons’ offense.

Columbus Catholic is now 4-2, while Pittsville drops to 5-3.

Columbus Catholic will open its Cloverbelt Conference East Division season Thursday at home against Spencer. Game time is 5 p.m. at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
