MEDFORD – Medford used an 11-run fifth inning to erase a five-run deficit and defeat Auburndale 13-7 in a nonconference baseball game Friday at Medford High School.

The Eagles fall to 7-3 this season after having their five-game winning streak snapped.

Auburndale led 7-3 after a four-run fourth inning and were cruising along until Medford’s bats got hot in the fifth, pouring on 11 runs to pull ahead.

Sloan Welch had two hits and three RBI, and Blake Raab drove in two and scored twice for Auburndale.

Tanner Hraby was 4-for-4 with two RBI, and Logan Baumgartner had a double, a home run and drove in four for Medford (9-3).

Auburndale returns to action Tuesday at Stratford.
