Neillsville stays undefeated in Cloverbelt East with come-from-behind win over Spencer baseball

SPENCER – Neillsville overcame a four-run deficit to defeat Spencer 9-6 and stay undefeated in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball standings.

The Rockets led 4-0 after two innings before Neillsville plated four in the third. After the Rockets regained the lead with a run in the bottom of the third, Neillsville added four more runs in the top of the fourth and led the rest of the way.

Reed Knecht and Carter Luepke each had two hits and three RBI for Spencer, which falls to 8-5 overall and 5-2 in the Cloverbelt East.

Neillsville is now 11-1 overall and 9-0 in the Cloverbelt East with only three conference games remaining.

Spencer returns to action Thursday at Gilman.
