Spencer baseball trounces Loyal

SPENCER – Reed Knecht threw a six-inning one-hitter for the Spencer baseball team as it defeated Loyal 11-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Monday at Spencer High School.

Kencht also had two hits, two RBI and scored twice for the Rockets, who are now 10-6 overall and 7-3 in the Cloverbelt East. Loyal falls to 6-8 and 5-6 in conference play.

Knecht finished with five strikeouts and three walks in the complete-game effort.

Kaiden Miller went 3-for-4 with four RBI, and Luke Roehrborn had a hit and knocked in three runs for Spencer.

The two teams will play again Tuesday at Loyal.
