MARSHFIELD – Ben Dietsche and Adam Gilbertson each drove in a pair of runs, and Braxton Kurth tossed a complete game as the Marshfield baseball team defeated Wausau East 10-6 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field.

The Tigers scored three times in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed to improve to 9-9 overall and 5-4 in the WVC this spring.

Chase Robinson also had two hits and scored twice, and Carson Matis had two singles and an RBI for Marshfield.

Kurth struck out two and did not walk a batter to earn the win.

The two teams will play again Thursday at Wausau East starting at 4:30 p.m.
