Colfax outlasts Spencer baseball in WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal

SPENCER – Colfax used a three-run fourth and a four-run sixth inning to push past Spencer 10-7 in a WIAA Division 3 baseball regional quarterfinal on Thursday at Spencer High School.

The Rockets end their season on a five-game losing streak and an even 11-11 record. Colfax (8-7) moves on to a D-3 regional final at No. 1 seed Marathon (15-5) on Tuesday.

Spencer scored in six of its seven at-bats, but managed more than one run only once with a two-run sixth and couldn’t catch up after the three-run fourth inning by the Vikings.

Madden Prybylski and Kaiden Miller each had two hits, with Miller driving in two runs. Luke Roehrborn also had two RBI for the Rockets.
