Plover sweeps doubleheader over Marshfield Junior Legion baseball

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Plover on Monday night at Jack Hackman Field, losing 14-4 and 4-2 to fall to 0-4 this season.

Plover scored in each of its five at-bats in Game 1, putting up six in the third to pull out to a 10-0 lead.

Chris Pohl had a double and an RBI, and Kallen Steinbach drove in two runs for Marshfield.

In the second game, Marshfield was shut out until scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh. Jakob Sadowska had two doubles and an RBI for the Junior Devils.

Marshfield returns to action Thursday at Merrill.
