MARSHFIELD – Wisconsin Rapids scored 11 times in the third inning and went on to defeat Marshfield 20-3 in a Junior Legion baseball game Tuesday night at Jack Hackman Field in the Junior Devils’ regular-season finale.
Marshfield (8-20, 2-10 Wisconsin Valley Legion Conference) has now lost nine games in a row.
Madden Prybylski had two of Marshfield’s four hits in the loss.
Marshfield will play Plover at the 17U regional at Memorial Field in Plover at 1 p.m. Friday. The double-elimination tournament, with a berth in the Wisconsin State 17U Legion Baseball Tournament in Wisconsin Rapids on the line, runs through Sunday.
