Marshfield boys soccer shut out at home by New Richmond

MARSHFIELD – New Richmond scored three times in a 20-minute span of the second half and defeated Marshfield 3-0 in a nonconference boys soccer game Tuesday at Heiting Community Stadium.

Samuels Roshane scored twice in two minutes early in the second half to break a scoreless tie, and Len Rios added an insurance goal in the 64th minute to provide all of the game’s scoring for New Richmond (3-0).

Zak Meyer made 10 saves in goal for Marshfield, which falls to 0-3 this season.

Marshfield opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule Thursday at home against Wisconsin Rapids. Game time is 7 p.m.
