WITTENBERG – Wittenberg-Birnamwood racked up 520 yards of total offense and held Spencer/Columbus Catholic to just 28 in a 62-0 victory in a Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division football matchup Friday night at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.
Nathan Waupekenay threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 126 more and two scores as the Chargers cruised to victory.
Bryson Schmid also added 110 yards and two touchdowns on the ground for Wittenberg-Birnamwood (4-0, 2-0 CWC Large).
The Rockets were stymied throughout the game, going just 2-for-11 passing and rushing for only 17 yards on 29 carries.
Next Friday, Spencer/Columbus (0-4, 0-2 CWC Large) travels to undefeated Weyauwga-Fremont (4-0, 2-0 CWC Large) and Wittenberg-Birnamwood (4-0, 2-0 CWC Large) will play at Amherst (2-2, 1-1 CWC Large) in Week 5 action.
