Marshfield girls tennis finishes off WVC dual meet season with win over Merrill

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a 6-1 win over Merrill in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Tuesday at the Boson Tennis Complex at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers won six matches in straight sets and finish the WVC dual meet season with a 4-2 record.

Ashley Grancorvitz at No. 4 singles, and the No. 3 doubles team of Aubrey Layton and Morgan Vechinski did not lose a game in their wins for Marshfield.

Marshfield will compete in the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Thursday at Wausau East.
