Marshfield volleyball sweeps Wisconsin Rapids to stay undefeated in WVC

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield volleyball team kept its perfect Wisconsin Valley Conference season intact with a 3-0 sweep of Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at Lincoln High School.

The Tigers won 25-10, 25-18, 25-10, to improve to 7-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference as they have yet to drop a set in conference play. Wisconsin Rapids is now 0-7 and has not won a set in the WVC.

Abby Ongna had 10 kills, Kailyn Kurth had 25 assists and Ashlyn Barwick had 11 digs to lead the way in each category for Marshfield.

Lauren Homolka added seven kills, Kurth had eight digs and Casey Dasler had three service aces as well for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
