MARATHON – The Stratford girls volleyball team was swept by Phillips in the first-place match of the Marawood Conference Crossover Challenge held at Marathon High School on Tuesday.
Phillips, champions of the Marawood North Division defeated the South Division champ Stratford 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.
Kalyn Schueller had 11 kills and 20 digs, Tria Tubbs added six kills, McKenzie Novotny had 11 digs, and Emerson Roy had 15 assists to pace the Tigers.
Stratford hosts Lakeland in a nonconference match Thursday to wrap up its regular-season schedule.
