STRATFORD – Jack Tubbs completed all four of his pass attempts, three for touchdowns, and the Stratford football team finished off an undefeated Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division championship season with a 54-14 victory over Spencer/Columbus Catholic on Thursday night at Tiger Stadium.
Tubbs tossed touchdown passes of 34 yards to Jett Schoenherr, 46 yards to Cole Tichy and 36 yards to Gavin Leonhardt in the win as Stratford finishes the regular season with an 8-1 record and a 7-0 mark in the CWC Large.
Koehler Kilty rushed eight times for 160 yards and scored twice, Xander Curtice added a 38-yard rushing touchdown, and Schoenherr returned a punt 30 yards for another score for the Tigers.
Spencer/Columbus finishes its season with a 2-7 record, 2-5 in the CWC Large.
Stratford will host Weyauwega-Fremont in a WIAA Division 6 Level 1 playoff game Friday, Oct. 20, at Tiger Stadium.
